Claudia Schildknecht and Thomas Egli at Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography 2017

CA Alumni

Claudia Schildknecht is a Swiss freelance documentary photographer currently working abroad in Oceania. She received her Bachelor in 2016 at the Lucerne School of Art and Design in visual communication, Camera Arts. Apart from long term projects, she does commissioned portraits, reportage and editorials.

Thomas Egli studied BA Visual Communication – Camera Arts at the Lucerne University of Sciences and Arts – School of Art and Design, where he graduated in 2015. There he has learned to think beyond photography and to develop ways to develop stories through across various mediums. For the Swiss newspaper Tages-Anzeiger he photographed remarkable figures from the culture and politics and realised various photographic essays. Currently as an independent visual storyteller he works on commissions from newspapers, magazines and business.

Poster, Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography 2017

Camera Arts alumni Claudia Schildknecht and Thomas Egli are both invited to take part of the Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography 2017.
Claudia Schildknecht is exhibiting her graduation project ‘D’Nischeler’ (2016) and Thomas Egli displays his graduation project ‘Paradise Island’ (2015).

The Biel/Bienne Festival of Photography 2017 takes place from May 5 – 28, 2017 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.

Claudia Schildknecht’s project is parallel exhibited at the Swiss Open-Air Museum Ballenberg.
